Welcome you to our neighborhood. We hope that you enjoy the time spent exploring the Island Home Park Community and learning about the IHPNA. You will discover quickly what the residents of Island Home have known since it was established. It is truly a special place to call home.
The Island Home Park Neighborhood Association (IHPNA) is an organization of all residents within our neighborhood boundaries. The IHPNA Board and Officers were elected to represent residents' issues and concerns. - - - - - - - ¤¤¤ - - - - - - -
A summary of citizen questions and comments during the December 8 public meeting concerning the Henley Street Bridge project (and, in follow-up, comment cards and e-mails, through December 10) is available here in PDF format. Please note that the City will continue to take comments on the Henley Bridge project through Friday, Jan. 8, 2010. More formal letters can be addressed to John Hunter, Chief Traffic Engineer, City of Knoxville, P.O. Box 1631, Knoxville, TN 37901, and/or to others in the Administration as you wish. The IHPNA has several committees that do the real work of the neighborhood association and they always welcome volunteers. Please take a moment to look over the list of committees and the people who chair them. The IHPNA Board of Governors list and the Contacts list have been updated. At the IHPNA Annual Meeting held on September 15th, Dave Hill, Senior Director of South Waterfront Development for the City of Knoxville, brought everyone up to date on all the latest developments in the waterfront project. You can view the slides from Mr. Hill's presentation here in PDF format. The Knoxville South Waterfront Newsletter is designed to keep those interested in water front development informed about the status of the process. The September issue is available here in PDF format. - - - - - - - ¤¤¤ - - - - - - -

The Island Home Park Neighborhood Association maintains a mailing list for residents of IHP. Unlike the emergency mailing list, members of this list are able to both receive and contribute mailings. If you are a resident and would like to become a member of this list, go here to sign up. If you are already a member of the list, but need to change your mailing address or wish to unsubscribe, you can do so here. The IHPNA provides a mailing list open only to residents of the Island Home Neighborhood. The list is provided by the neighborhood association for the purpose of mailing emergency alerts regarding dangerous, suspicious or illegal activity in the neighborhood. Subscribers will not be able to post to the list. It is designed solely for the distribution of critical information. If you are a resident and would like to subscribe, go here. - - - - - - - ¤¤¤ - - - - - - -
