Island Home Park Neighborhood Association (IHPNA) has been in existence in its present form since 1986. The Association adheres to by-laws and is divided into eight districts. Each district elects a Governor to represent the area on the Board of Governors. In addition, IHPNA members elect eight at-large Governors as well as a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. These last four form the Executive Board, which performs the business of IHPNA between meetings of the Board of Governors. A required General Membership meeting is held at least once a year, and special General Membership meetings are held as needed. All meetings of IHPNA are open to the public. IHPNA members pay dues once a year that are used for many projects within the community.
